Pricematik is the software which I’ve also tested however would only use if Profit Scraper wasn’t available. Once you’ve tracked down your first 100 ASINs the following step is relatively simple. Below I set out a brief overview of each of the available platforms.

Pricematik offers clean straight forward software which allows you to upload products to eBay by the click of a mouse. Once on eBay the software automatically monitors pricing and inventory (exactly the same as Profit Scraper). Similar to Profit Scraper, Pricematik offers the ability to scrape other eBay sellers. Whilst this is helpful to get started initially, where considerable profit is made is when you identify an item with little or no competition.

The software provides both standard repricing settings reflecting eBay and PayPal fees, as well as more bespoke options. As always, it’s important that the software is supported by strong customer service. Note that at the start I had no feedback and as such it has taken a little time to get traction (I currently have 129 feedback from my 327 orders all of which are positive). In addition I only list 500 items in comparison to some of the larger seller who have 50,000 items. Once you’ve scraped a category you’ll be able to sort through the items and check that they’ve matched correct.

There’s a strange psychology with eBay users (me included!) who are of the opinion that for items under say $100, eBay has got to be the cheapest place to purchase. This is straight forward and should take no longer than 2-3 minutes.

In short, Pricematik offers the most cost effective price when listing over 3,000 items. To compare the costs with PriceYak above, if I was to list 25,000 items using Pricematik it would cost just $0.02 per item verses $0.10 for PriceYak.
